* For the purposes the Hertsmere Charging Schedule, 'houses in multiple occupation' and hostels are classified as residential development.
The Charging Areas
The Charging Areas A, B and ‘Elstree Way Corridor’ are defined in the “Community Infrastructure Levy Charging Area” Map in Section 4 a) of this guidance, which is taken from Annex 1 of the CIL Charging Schedule.
Calculating the Chargeable Amount
We will calculate the amount of CIL payable (“chargeable amount”) in respect of a chargeable development in accordance with regulation 40 of the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended). The above rates are subject to indexation as defined in Regulation 40 (5).
Statutory Compliance
This Charging Schedule has been published in accordance with the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended in the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2011, 2012, 2013) and Part 11 of the Planning Act 2008 and in any future amendments.
