Simpler Recycling for Businesses
As part of the government's Simpler Recycling policy, new regulations will soon require your business to separate recyclable materials from your general waste.
From the 31st March 2025 businesses that employ more than 10 full time equivalent staff (across all premises) will need to separate the following groups of recyclable materials:
- Glass, metal and plastic
- Cardboard and paper
- Food waste as a dedicated collection
For more details about these changes and to find out what action you need to take, please visit Business of Recycling run by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) funded by DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs).
