Hertfordshire County Council Charge

Hertfordshire County Council will spend over £1.1 billion delivering services to residents and businesses across the county in 2025/26. The county’s budget for this year includes a 4.99% increase in charges, which is broken down as:

  • 2% increase for Adult Social Care
  • 2.99% increase for general expenditure

Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire

The charge for the Police and Crime Commissioner has increased by £14 for a Band D property compared to the previous year.

Hertsmere Borough Council

Hertsmere Borough Council’s share of your council tax is 9% of the total. The charge has increased by 2.99%, which is £5.64 for Band D properties compared to the previous year.

Parish/Town Council Charges

Parish or Town Councils set their own rates. This charge only applies if you live in an area with a parish or town council. Residents Bushey, Potters Bar, and Meriden are unparished and therefore do not pay a parish or town council charge.  For more information, please contact your Parish / Town Council.
