A new, elected member role to champion the delivery of Hertsmere’s 50th anniversary celebrations has been established.
Cllr Marc Amron, elected member for Bushey Park ward, has been appointed to the role by the Leader of the Council, Cllr Jeremy Newmark.
Cllr Newmark said: “I am delighted that Marc has agreed to take on this new role of member champion for the delivery of our 50th anniversary celebrations.
“We want to create an anniversary that is as unique, vibrant and diverse as Hertsmere itself and I am confident that Marc brings the right skills for the job.”
Cllr Amron added: “Hertsmere’s 50th anniversary is a huge milestone and we hope to see it celebrated widely across the borough. I am looking forward to getting stuck in to helping with the planning side of things, but also to attending some of these wonderful events and seeing our communities coming together to celebrate.”
